Regina Antoinette Kelley, beloved daughter, sister, mother, and friend to so many passed away on April 17, 2024 in her hometown of Cincinnati, OH. Born on September 27, 1957, Regina is survived by her loving son Stephan, her father Cleophus O. Kelley, Sr., (Katie), brothers Cleophus O. Kelley, Jr., (Mary), Michael Kelley (Cindy), and Kelvin Kelley (Juanita). She is preceded in death by her mother Ann E. Kelley.
Regina received her Master in Business Administration (MBA) from Eastern Michigan University in 1998 and her Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), majoring in Accounting, from Ohio University, in 1979. She lived in Ypsilanti, MI and worked at Eastern Michigan University for more than 35 years, retiring in 2021. She assumed positions of increasing responsibility during her tenure, serving as the Business Operations Manager for EMU in her final role. Upon retirement, Regina returned to Cincinnati and made Maple Knoll Village her home.
We remember Regina's warm smile, her quiet laugh and her strikingly beautiful eyes. She was a dedicated mother, a thoughtful friend and a vivacious woman, with a love of fishing, golf, skating, and dancing. Jazzercise was her passion and she instructed for many years.
Regina selflessly gave to others, donating life-saving bone marrow to a complete stranger in 2000, and was recognized as an Everyday Hero by the American Red Cross in that same year.
A service of remembrance and celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, April 25 at 11:00 AM at Quinn Chapel AME Church; 10998 Southland Road; Cincinnati, OH 45240. Visitation will precede the service at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at Spring Grove Cemetery; 4521 Spring Grove Avenue; Cincinnati, OH 45232.
