Angelo Manuel Luckey, Jr., was born on September 24, 1986 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the union of Angelo and Rachel Hodge Luckey. On January 3, 2019 surrounded by his loving parents and immediate family, he transitioned from time to eternity.
Angelo was educated in the Cincinnati, Ohio and Charleston, South Carolina Public Schools. He was a dedicated employee of Tiles by Angelo. Although he had other career endeavors Angelo was proud of being a Tile-Setter and he learned this craft from his father. He often boasted about their completed projects and how much he loved working with his father.
Angelo accepted Christ an early age, and was baptized in Jesus Name under the auspices of Bishop H. Anthony Stephens. Having been reared in a Godly home an in God's Way Apostolic Tabernacle under the leadership of the late Pastor C. H. Williams, he understood the ways of holiness and the importance of a relationship with God. Towards the end of his life, he sought further spiritual guidance at Life By Design Ministries under the leadership of his dear mother, Pastor Rachel Luckey.
Angelo enjoyed many things, but most of all he was a lover of music and spent much time in the studio writing, recording and producing songs. He performed on stages in Ohio and South Carolina. He was also an avid fisherman. He loved casting a line from the banks with his cousins, his dad or his baby sister, Nicole.
Angelo was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Raymond and Bessie Luckey as well as his maternal grandparents, Elva and Mark Hodge, Sr.
Those left to cherish his memory include his three children, Kamonta Kashawn, Kimiah Renee, and Angel Brenae, all of Cincinnati: his parents, Angelo and Rachel Luckey of Springdale, Ohio; sisters, Cassandra (Quincy) Sutton of South Carolina, and Nicole Lynette Luckey of Springdale, Ohio; one nephew, Quincy Cardell; two nieces, Rachel Caroline and Elva Queenslei of South Carolina; loving grandparents, Dionne and Ben Parks Jr., and host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
