Chandler M. Childress Obituary

Chandler Childress earned his heavenly wings on Friday, November 8, 2019, nevertheless his beautiful spirit, powerful energy and incredible talent will live on forever.  No one will ever forget his infectious smile, engaging personality or all-around flair for life.  He was a dedicated father, a devoted son and a promising entrepreneur.

Chandler was born January 23, 1993, as the youngest son of John III and Kimberley Childress.  He accepted his faith while attending Annunciation Catholic School.  From there, he attended Roger Bacon HS, graduating from Withrow HS and on to Tennessee State University.  He enjoyed sports – playing soccer, football, basketball and baseball.

Chandler was a true businessman born with the skill for creating profitable ventures.  From designing t-shires to making “beats” with friends, Adrian “Sticks” and Keisha, he always kept his eye on the prize.  All the same, his true loves were photography, videography and graphic design.

At the age of three, his father put a camera in his hand – unleashing a passion that would fuel the rest of his days.  He started honing his skills capturing the special moments of his family and friends.  From birthday celebrations to graduations and more, Chandler was there capturing every memory.

Ever bound and determined to chart his own path in life, he channeled his love for photography into a blossoming multi-media company called So-Visuals – specializing in music production, photography, videography and graphics design.  He directed music videos and other productions for several artists, including Whiz Khalifa, Cardi B and Adrien Broner, to name a few.  His talent attracted an impressive, worldwide audience on YouTube of more than 10,200 subscribers, with video views exceeding 3.5 million.

On June 7, 2016, Chandler’s world changed forever when he became a father to Aaliyah, whom he affectionately nicknamed, Dooties.  His daughter was his world, and he wanted to give her everything.  Her birth awakened a new sense of purpose and responsibility, he committed the rest of his days to building a legacy for her.

Business associates and followers will remember chandler as a Cincinnati legend who ranks among the best in his field.  Those who loved him best will remember the man he became – bold, brilliant, fiercely loyal and dedicated to leaving his mark on this world.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his loving parents, John III and Kimberly A. Childress; daughter Aaliyah (Chelsea); brother John Childress IV (Kendrea); grandmother Doris Duncan; aunts Terri Walker (Jerome) and Gina Childress-Walton (Kurtz); uncles Todd Childress, Kevin Duncan, Jay Duncan (Tyra); special aunt Corri Duncan; nieces and nephews, John V, Jaedon, Aiden and Journee; great nephew Jason; godparents Vickie Patton and James Rose; dear friends, Joshua “Rakz” Rushing, Deshante “Lambs” Moore, Corey “Chase” Johnson and Brandon “Kayo” Fletcher and a host of other relatives and friends.
