Charles Frazier was born on July 10, 1967 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the union of Charles Edward and Barbra Gaither. Charles was the youngest of four children. In 2001, Charles, also known as “Big Mike” was joined in marriage to Yvette Foster and to this union, three children were born.
“Big Mike” to friends and “Fat Mike” to family, loved old school music (rap), he enjoyed ‘horror movies’ and was a die hard Bengals fan. But his love for boxing came at a very young age. Story has it that “Fat Mike” refused to let his parents change his name to Charles E. Gaither, Jr. because carrying the last name Frazier passed him as being related to the legendary “Joe Frazier”. Charles “Big Mike” attended Hughes High School.
“Fat Mike” believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, and not only did he believe, but he put his life in His hands. “Fat Mike” spent his time in worship at Greater Bethlehem Temple Apostolic Church. His children knew him to be a great provider, a true hustler and an OG. He always made sure his children wanted for nothing from their first breaths until his last. During his fight against cancer, Charles “Fat Mike” stated often, “GOD GOT ME!”
Charles “Fat Mike” was preceded in death by his late wife, Yvette Frazier; paternal grandparents, William and Nellie Gaither; maternal grandparents, Margret Frazier and Mose Brown.
