Elda Jean Gateskill

Elda Jean Gateskill was born on May 14, 1931. She departed this life on August 13, 2019.

“Big Jean” as we called her, married the love of her life, Oscar on August 27, 1949. They were married 57 wonderful years. He preceded her on October 10, 2000.

Big Jean was an office manager at University Hospital and retired in 1985.

Oscar and Jean were faithful members of St. Clement for many years.

Big Jean leaves to mourn her passing: two brothers and three sisters, Richard Bedgood, Dexter Dedgood, Deborah Evans, Robin Hunter and Kimberly Bedgood; two dear cousins, Mr. Thomas Walker and Margeret Butler; and a host of relatives and friends. A special thanks to Sr. Pat, a devoted sister of St. Clement who came faithfully, through the years to pray and serve her communion; and Tri-County Care Center and Hospice.
