Jill Vashon Todd Obituary

Jill Vashon Todd (nee Dillard) was born April 24, 1973 to Dean Dillard and Jerry Kyles. She accepted Christ at a young age at Peace Baptist Church under Pastor Gregory Chandler, Sr. Jill was a member of the Young Adult Choir. Jill departed this life surrounded by love after a courageous battle with Breast Cancer on Saturday, September 14, 2019.

Jill attended Cincinnati Public Schools where she participated in the Brownie Scouts. She attended Withrow High School where she was a member of the choir, Illusion Models, Q Club and was Secretary of the Senior Class of 1991. After graduating from high school, Jill attended the University of Cincinnati and Brown Mackie College. She obtained her Associate Degree graduating with honors, Summa Cum Laude. She was employed at US Oncology, the Wooster Pike location.

Jill met her husband, Christopher, in 1996. They were married on August 19, 2000. From their 19-year union, they were blessed with two children, Isaiah Christopher and Imani Vashon. Jill enjoyed celebrating life! Whether she was celebrating her birthday, the holidays (Christmas being her favorite), her children, or the accomplishments of others, she did it wholeheartedly. Jill was an avid Steelers fan which was a constant source for argument with many of the Bengals fans in the family. She loved her family, friends, and hosting ‘Soul Food’ gatherings at home. Jill was a GREAT cook. When Jill was 11 years old, to her mother’s surprise, she had prepared a full meal using a gas stove. When she wasn’t out and about you could usually find her watching her favorite TV shows, The Golden Girls and Andy Griffith.

She leaves to cherish her memory: a devoted husband, Christopher; two children, Isaiah and Imani; mother, Dean (Napoleon) Holland; father, Jerry (Joyce) Kyles; in-laws, Chrissie Lee and Lurvirda Todd; sister, Charmaine Kyles; brother, Lamar Kyles; step-brother, Barry Holland; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.
