Leslie Hill Obituary

Leslie Clara Hill was born on August 19, 1979 to Albert Jr. and Carolyn Hill.  She departed this life on Saturday, January 12, 2019.

Leslie accepted Christ as her personal Savior at the age of 17 and was baptized at Bethel Baptist Church by Rev. Dr. Wayne R. Davis.  She was active in many youth ministries at Bethel Baptist Church growing up, including Sunday School, Church Time, Hattie Jackson Guild Girls and the Children’s Choir.

The gift of leadership developed as she served in other capacities which included:  Church Time Teacher, Sisters of Praise Dance Ministry and production of various holiday plays.

Leslie graduated from Walnut Hills High School in 1997 and attended Wilberforce University.  While at Wilberforce, she helped to establish the Wilberforce Chapter of the NAACP.  She was an advocate for youth and had a passion for caring for all kinds of animals. A good game of golf made her day.

One of the happies moments of her life was November 24, 2002, when she gave birth to her first child, Isaiah Dontae Solomon Brown.  Most recently, this joy was repeated May 1, 2018 when she gave birth to Lilah Zoe Hill Dates.

Leslie graduated in May 2010 from Xavier University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts.

She was employed by Fifth Third Bank for many years in a managerial position.  At the time of her death, Leslie was employed by the Kroger Company in a District Manager Training Program.

Leslie was devoted, caring, nurturing mother, and a fierce protector of family and friends.  She had a sharp intellect and a great sense of humor.  She also had a big warm smile that would melt your heart.

When you got to know Leslie, you learned she loved big band music and jazz.  She loved keeping up with the current fashion trends and was impeccably dressed each time you saw her.

Leslie Clara Hill was greatly loved by all who know her.  She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

She leaves behind to celebrate her life:  son, Isaiah Dontae Solomon Brown and daughter, Lilah Zoe Hill Dates; parents Carolyn and Albert Hill, Jr.; brother, Reginald Hill; aunts, Myra and Felecia Britton and Dolores Jones; companion, Troy Dates; and a host of other relatives and friends.
