Lou David Wright age 83, peacefully passed away on July 27, 2018 at Spring Hills Assisted Living and Memory Care in Middletown, Ohio. He was the seventh child born to Alfred and Reba Wright and was affectionately called “Boy Baby” by his mother and older siblings which later translated to the nick name “Bobby”.
Lou David attended Perry County Training School where he was known as “L.D.”. He excelled academically and graduated in 1956. Soon after, his sister Alberta sent for him to come North, so he migrated to Middletown, Ohio where he served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He gained employment from AK Steel/Armco Steel where his department nick-named him “Pee-Wee” because of his youth and slender size. He worked there for 40 years until his retirement in 1997.
Shortly after getting employment, Lou David sent for his childhood sweetheart Addie. On July 1, 1957 they got married. He was the husband of Addie Dorothy Wright for 57 years and with this union cherished father to Brenda Croley, Debora Myree, Elizabeth Wright-Pluta, Gail Wright, and David Wright. Beloved Grandfather to Harold Croley II, Ashley Croley, Troy Myree Jr., Claire Myree, Philip Michael Pluta, Jacob Pluta, Jermaine David Wright, Anthony Jerome Wright, and Dasia Wright; and Great Grandfather of six.
Lou David loved learning. He also enjoyed telling jokes, singing, dancing, and playing the guitar. He was preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Reba Wright, brothers Huston Wright, McCoy Wright, Robert Wright; twin sisters Adeline Geter and Odessa Green, and Rena Clark. He is survived by sisters Elsie Watts (Jimmie), Alberta Aldridge, Rose Thompson, Peggy Scott (Gaines); and brothers Paul Wright and John Wright (Pat) as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
