Louise (Williams) Lowery was born on Saturday, June 21, 1930 in Milledgeville, Georgia as the tenth of 11 children born to the late John T. and Sarah (Calhoun) Williams. Louise accepted Christ as her savior at an early age.
Louise and several family members moved to Cincinnati, Ohio when she was very young. She attended public schools in Cincinnati and graduated from Woodward High School. She went on to obtain her license as a Practical Nurse. Louise worked as a nurse for over 27 years and retired from Drake Memorial Hospital.
In April 1952, Louise was united in holy matrimony to William C. Lowery (W.C) From this union, 3 children were born: Clarence (deceased), Carolyn and Clinton.
Louise, along with her husband W.C., joined New Prospect Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Collins. There she sung in the choir and served on the Deaconess Board. She attended as a faithful member for many years until her health started to decline.
For the past several years, Louise resided in Conyers, GA as her heath began to decline. While in Georgia, she had developed a close relationship with three special caregivers; Cheryl Tenn, Lorna Tenn and Maria Pinelle-Cumming. The Lord called Louise to take her place in heaven on Sunday, March 10, 2019.
Louise loved helping people and had a quiet way of doing just that. She is lovingly called G-Mom by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved being fashionable and loved listening to gospel music. She also adored the great singer Gladys Knight. Louise was always ready to go even while dealing with her health challenges.
