Margaret Evans was born on August 24, 1926 in Covington, Kentucky. She was one of five children, Clarabell Thomas, Lloyd Thomas, Jr. (Egella Thomas), Mary Liz Thomas and Quarnell Thomas to the parents, Lloyd M. Thomas and Alfreta Thomas, all of whom preceded her in death. She departed this life to rest on Monday, March 25, 2019.
She moved to Cincinnati, Ohio with her family at a young age and attended an Industrial School. She worked many years at the Central Café downtown of Cincinnati, Ohio. She met her husband in 1966, the late Willie Henry Evans. They were married for 50 years until death.
She was a faithful member of the Metropolitan Baptist Church and was baptized in Jesus name by Rev. Toby Roland in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was also baptized in Jesus name at Greater Emanuel Apostolic Temple in Cincinnati, Ohio. In her later years, she attended Greater Bethlehem Temple Apostolic Church with her daughter and great-granddaughter. Thanks be to God, she received the precious gift of the Holy Ghost!
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Cyrus Enoch. Margaret leaves her cherished memories to: her daughter, Evangelist Barbara Brown; her grandsons, Jermane Enoch (Kelly), Robert Enoch, Clyde Enoch, Marlon Brown (Sherri) and Clarence Brown; granddaughter-in-law, Vanessa Enoch; nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; two special nieces, Pat Beard (Clyde) and Carol Ziegler; one special nephew, Rev. James Salter; special cousin, Rev. Toby Roland; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
Margaret will be remembered for her unique and independent personality! We loved her, but God loved her best!
