Marquela Westbrooks Dozier was born into the family of the late Wille A. and Fannie Westbrooks on February 13,1949 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She received her high school diploma from Taft High School in 1968. Marquela was employed by General Hospital for 20 years.
On August 26,1966 Marquela married her true love, Charles Haywood Dozier. This devout love, faithfulness and commitment lasted for over 40 years until the passing on Monday, May 22, 2006, when the Lord called Charles home.
Raised in the church, Marquela received the gift of the Holy Ghost in 1962 under the late Pastor Strauss. Marquela served the Lord under the leadership of Bishop Cornelius Price of whom she served as a secretary and greeter. Keeping her commitment to God, Marquela was appointed to Deaconess at Bible Believers Pentecostal by Overseer Juanita Chiles.
The Lord blessed Deaconess Marquela Dozier with an open heart and the gift of discernment to speak to anyone. Deaconess Marquela Dozier was a woman of God and stood for righteousness and was a voice of care and comfort for those in need.
The life, lessons and memory of Deaconess Marquela Dozier will be cherished by her three children; Paul, Marqueita (Orlando) and Jason (Ava); four grandchildren; Demond, Brittnay, Charles and Aisha; four siblings; Rachel, Tina, Samira (Samuel) and Demaris; 12 nieces, five nephews and a host of great grandchildren, cousins, extended family and friends.
