Oliver Leroy Harris Sr., born November 24, 1928 (Thanksgiving child) in Cincinnati, Ohio to Louise Harris (deceased) and Alberta Davis (deceased). He was one of many children.
Forgoing to finish school he was compelled to join the US Army and fight in the World War II also known as the Second World War. At the age of 16, achieving the rank of Quartermaster through his perseverance and contribution and bravery he helped form the foundation for some of the opportunities and respect for black man and woman in the military.
In his life he was a hard worker learning many trade skills that made him gain the respect from many of his peers. He cumulated many friends and helped many people with charismatic, loving and kind personality. A loving honored father of his children and was a champion to his family.
He leaves behind for us to cherish his wonderful and magnanimous memory; his surviving children and grandchild. A large number of family and friends that will surly miss his big heart, his presence and smile.
