Pamela Laynette Johnson was born January 1, 1951 in Cincinnati Ohio to the late Clarence and Lulla Mae Johnson. She departed this life on November 6, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings, one sister, Gwendolyn Kaye and two brothers, Keve Lofell and Larry Andrew Johnson.
Pam attended Cincinnati Public Schools where she graduated from Courter Tech High School.
She retired from Cincinnati Bell Telephone Company after 30 years, and later returned to work at The Christ Hospital as a Telecommunicator until the time of her passing.
Pam accepted Christ at an early age at Southern Baptist Church where she was an active member for over 55 years. She served in many capacities: the Youth Choir, the Prison Ministry and teaching Sunday School. She had a passion for serving others which lead her to serve on the Usher Board where she was former president.
She enjoyed reading, movies, missionary work, history, traveling, and was an avid Cincinnati Bengals and Reds fan, but what she enjoyed most was spending time with her family and friends. Pam was always there to uplift others with her positive attitude, infectious laugh, and a beautiful smile that could light up a room.
She leaves to mourn her passing: two sons, Morlando Johnson (London, OH) and Michael Johnson (Harrodsburg, KY); one brother, Michael Johnson (Atlanta, GA); one sister, Patricia Johnson (Harrodsburg, KY); four grandchildren, Adrianne Johnson, Aleeah Rawlings, Aaron Johnson and Kaemon Peavler, two great-grandchildren, Arianna and Rodney; several nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and close friends.
