Percy Dinkens Tait was born on January 9, 1953 to the union of the late Percy & Elizabeth Ann (Dewberry) Tait in Cincinnati, Ohio. "Beanieboy, Uncle Beanieboy" as he was affectionately called by his family and close friends was actually a "Jr" as he was named after his father.
His three brothers: Gregory Tait, LaFawn (Terry) Tait and Kenneth (Kenny) Tait also preceded him in death.
Percy graduated from Hughes High School in 1972. He attended Bethlehem Temple was a young man with many other family members.
He worked for TSS Technologies in Glendale until they closed in 2014. The hard worker that he was, he continued to work lots of temporary jobs. He was on assignment at Feintool in Blue Ash, where his sudden illness and untimely death, he was looking forward to being hired on full-time.
Percy, along with his wife often attended and sat under wonderful spiritual leaders in a few Cincinnati churches, one being House of Hope where he was ordained a deacon by Pastor Larry Nick Burnett.
While a member at Overflow Covenant Ministries Church he was befriended by Apostle Bennie Fluellen who coached, challenged and encouraged him to grow spiritually. He also occasionally worked for the church.
He was a member, and had been attending services at New Prospect Baptist Church under the wonderful and compassionate leadership of Pastor Damon Lynch III.
Percy had a lot of notable characteristics, perhaps the one that stood out the most was him speaking his opinion whether you wanted it or not, often slaudering the English language, but you still got the point. He was also, willing to help move, babysit or help out at any church he attended.
His greatest contribution to the Kingdom of God, was in 2004-2006, when he and his wife started a ministry under the leadership of Pastor Chip Hall called Super Saturday Kids Krusade. This ministry reached out to the children in the Winton Terrace community, teaching them about Jesus' love for them. The children really appreciated and took to his male presence in their lives.
His often vibrant, opinionated, caring and distinctive personality ensures that we will be sorely missed.
He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Venita Marie (Ward) Tait; son Percy Tait Jr., and daughter Ciara Tait. Three sisters: Evelyn Vnell Lee, Anita (Rudy) Rousell of Cincinnati, Ohio, Janet Tait of Columbus, OH. He also leaves to mourn a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. His adopted in love wife's five children, grand & great grands, even naming one of the grands: Grasshopper, they all loved him dearly, as did Kelley, Abron & Ayden, close friends of the family.
