Sarah Jane Johnson Obituary

Mother Sarah Jane Johnson was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to the parentage of the late Estella (Price) Bosley and James Hubert Bosley on October 14, 1930.

Mother Johnson attended Lockland Wayne School in Lockland, Ohio. She was baptized at an early age under the pastorate of the late Pastor Mamie Covell of the First Apostolic Church of Lincoln Heights, Ohio.

In February of 1955 she was united in holy matrimony to the late Mr. Earmie Howard and to this union was born nine children. Some years later she was united in marriage to the late Mr. Robert Johnson.

She was employed at American Linen and Rocket Cleaners for several years; she was also employed at the Windjammer Restaurant in Sharonville, Ohio, Pearl's Diner in Woodlawn, Ohio and the Hampton Inn in Blue Ash, Ohio.

Mother Sarah Johnson received the Holy Ghost at the home of her eldest daughter Erma in the summer of 1983. When she walked into the house she was a little tipsy from drinking regular wine, but before the evening was over, the Lord had filled her with new wine, the HOLY GHOST! She spoke in tongues for hours, worshipping and praising the God of her Salvation! This was the beginning of her new life in Christ Jesus.

She became a faithful member of the First Pentecostal Church of Blue Ash, Ohio under the pastorate of the late Bishop Eddie Lee Forster. Later she moved her membership to Bethlehem Temple in Cincinnati, Ohio under the pastorate of the late Bishop Elzie W. Young. Then she moved her membership to Hope For You Family Life and Worship Center in Mount Healthy, Ohio under the pastorate of Bishop Larry Dempsey where she remained a faithful member and also served on the Mother Board until the Lord took her home.

Mother Johnson loved her family, especially her children, grandchildren, great and great, great grandchildren and whomever she came in contact with. She didn't meet any strangers and if you came to her home she loved to feed you. She was a loving, caring person. She loved to cook for her family on holidays and could make the best homemade vanilla ice cream ever. She raised several of her grandchildren (Robert Howard, Charles and Trech'Na Ephraim) and was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

She leaves to cherish her memory, five daughters, Erma (Phillip) Kidd, Stella Terrell, Linda Howard and Robin Johnson of Cincinnati, OH, Sally (W.D.) Player of Anniston, AL, three sons, James Howard, Pastor Tony (Kathy) Howard of Las Vegas, NV, David (Stephanie) Howard of Cincinnati, OH, one sister Betty Bosley, and daughter-in-law Ms. Gracie Howard of Dayton, OH. 47 grandchildren, 77 great grandchildren, 53 great, great grandchildren, a special cousin James (Lucy) Miller and a god-daughter Mrs. Jean Turner, along with a host of other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Estella Bosley and James Bosley, two sisters, Mamie Fletcher and Claudia Williams, two daughters Doris Key and Lola Howard, two sons, Theodore and Ronald Howard.
