Willis A. Francis, Sr.

The late Willis Aaron Francis, Sr. was born on June 18, 1935, in Union Mills, North Carolina, to the union of Henry Francis and Ethel Moore Francis.

Willis Francis was one of seven children whose parents and siblings preceded him in death.

He attended public schools in Union Mills, North Carolina.

He entered the military on April 14, 1955 and was honorably discharged on June 21, 1963.

He married Ms. Leta Marie Johnson on October 25, 1964.  Two sons were born to this union:  Mr. Willis Aaron Francis, Jr. and David A. Francis.

Willis Francis retired from GE after 27 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Leta and his son, Wilis.  He leaves to cherish his loving memory:  his son, David A. Francis; one granddaughter, Tiarra C. Daniels; and a host of relatives.  He also leave behind one best friend of 53 years, Mr. Jesse Owens.
