Aimee Watkins Brazile, beloved wife, daughter, sister, stepmother, and friend, passed peacefully surrounded by love on September 30, 2025. She was born on March 21, 1974, in Cincinnati, Ohio, and from the beginning carried the fiery, determined spirit of an Aries.
She shared an unbreakable bond with her sister Angie and held close to the memory of their late mother, Alice, and their father Abraham whose legacy of love and resilience lived through her. To her family and friends, Aimee was a source of comfort, loyalty, and joy.
Aimee grew up in Forest Park, OH, where she built lifelong friendships with friends Ali Vandivier, Kristina Moore, and Regina Sewell that became a chosen family. She attended college at Kent State and created a special and lifelong bond with friend Nakita Smoot. Known for her honesty, integrity, and unwavering strength, she had a way of telling the truth with both boldness and love. On August 22, 2018, Aimee met the love of her life Darol Brazile. And after 2years of courtship, they joined in Holy Matrimony on May 22, 2020. Aimee became a devoted wife, stepmother and step-grandmother until she was called home to glory.
Throughout her life, Aimee embodied courage and perseverance. Even in the face of challenges, she carried herself with grace and determination, inspiring everyone who walked beside her. She cherished deep connections, late-night talks, shared memories, and the beauty of everyday moments with those she loved most.
Aimee leaves behind her loving husband Darol, cherished sister Angie, stepdaughter, Theresa Gresham, step grandchildren, DeMario and De-Shawn Taylor; mother-in-law, Gwen Brazile, brother-in-law’s, Leroy Brazile (Chandra), Dion Holley (Desiree) and Derric Brazile; extended family, and countless friends who will hold her memory in their hearts forever. She will be remembered not only for her strength but for her authenticity, her radiant spirit, and the way she made those around her feel truly seen and valued.
