Albert Donald McGill was born on April 28, 1930, in Martinsburg, West Virginia to the union of Harrison Payton and Minnie Roberta McGill. He was the youngest of six children. He departed this earthly life on April 14, 2025.
Albert accepted Christ and was baptized early in life. He left West Virginia at a young age and relocated to Cincinnati, Ohio. He was a member of Mt. Auburn Baptist Church for many years and served as a deacon.
Albert was employed at Superior Jewelry Company for over 35 years, He held the position of supervisor in the shipping department.
Albert had a gift for writing poetry. He was very generous in sharing his gift with many. He will be remembered for his beautiful poems. He also enjoyed cooking, football, baseball, and computers.
Albert and Lucille were united in holy matrimony on September 27, 1997. They shared twenty-seven and a half glorious years together. They enjoyed travelling to various regions via plane, bus, auto, ship and train.
Albert was a very warmhearted man. Generosity was one of his top qualities. Big heart? Definitely! Generous to a fault? Absolutely. Albert left this world in a better place because of his kind, giving heart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five siblings: Mary, Vivian, Hazel, Dorothy and Harrison Payton.
Albert leaves to cherish his memory; Beloved wife Lucille, brother-in-law Joe McMullen (Dola) of Cincinnati; brother-in-law Alvin Davis (Doris) of Dayton, Ohio, sister-in-law Joyce Kennedy of Cincinnati; three; grandsons Aaron, Derrick, James, one great grandson Devon Blair, one granddaughter Jacqueline Blair; two very special friends: Arovia Butler and Milda Hood; a host of nieces, nephews, great grandchildren, relatives and many friends
