With deep sorrow and abiding love, we announce the passing of Alexis Dominique Idell Mack, affectionately known as “Slim.” Born in Middletown, Ohio on September 1, 1985, Alexis departed this life on November 27, 2025, at the age of 40.
Alexis was a bright and loving soul whose presence brought warmth and light everywhere she went. She was a awesome daughter, a loving sister, a devoted mother, and a cherished friend. She carried each of these roles with grace, kindness, and a heart overflowing with love.
Born to Patricia A. Mack and James D. Howard, Alexis brought joy, laughter, and tenderness into the lives of everyone blessed to know her.
As a mother, Alexis adored her daughter Lei’lani Mack, more than anything in this world. Their connection was unbreakable, and her love will continue to guide her with strength, comfort, and everlasting light.
Alexis enjoyed cooking, singing, dancing, laughing, gardening, helping others, traveling, and creating countless memories with her family—moments that will forever be held close.
She leaves behind her beloved daughter, Lei’lani Jolie Idell Mack (Christopher Jones)

She is preceded in death by her grandparents Willie “Clifford” Mack and Gladys Idell Mack, James Darryl Howard Sr. and her siblings Dayra Howard, Rachel Howard, and Jaquavious Lackey, who now welcome her into eternal rest.
Though her earthly journey has ended, the love Alexis shared remains eternal. Her laughter, her kindness, her strength, and her beautiful spirit will forever live in the hearts of those she touched.
