Alexis Cadence Pernell

Alexis Cadence Pernell was born on October 14, 2000, in Detroit, Michigan, and passed away on November 1, 2025, in Dayton, Ohio.

At the age of four, she moved to Middletown, Ohio. Lexy was a talker! She would talk to anyone she saw and was loved in her community. She was involved with the RISE Program and Youth in Government. She loved those trips! She enjoyed basketball, riding four-wheelers, and horses. Lexy was funny and tough as nails. She would fight a lion to protect her family! She was so very loved, and her absence can never be filled.

She is survived by her son, Drexin Dwight Pernell; her parents, Richard and Carla Pernell; birth mother, Karen Nikki Bruce; and grandmothers, Poochie Davidson and Brenda Pernell. She leaves behind her brothers, Justice, Remiah, Julian, and Kamarre Pernell; two nieces, Aurora and Rumani Pernell; and one nephew, Ya’Mari Wallace.

She is also survived by her brothers, DeAndre Loveless and Richard Bruce; nieces and nephews, Aubrey, Richard III, and Urijah Bruce; and brothers, Sylvester, Michael, and Brandon Allen, and Marcus Pugh. She is preceded in death by her birth father, Sylvester Allen, and grandfathers, Carl Wayne Davidson and Donald Pernell Sr.

The family would like to welcome everyone to come by for fellowship, food and enjoy The Celebration of Life for Alexis.  A scrapbook will be available if anyone would like to bring pictures to make your own personal page for the scrapbook. Stop by anytime between 1pm and 4pm.
