Alice Brandon was born on June 2nd, 1934 to Frank Alexander and Leoma Conley Conyer in Middletown, Ohio. Alice was one of ten children born to this union. Her siblings were Murray Conley Conyer, Lillie Mae Conley, Wonnie Mae Passmore, Warnell Taylor, John Ingram, Nora Ingram, Francis Alexander, Shirley Curtis and Fred Conley. She was the mother of four children, Deborah Brandon, Omi Brandon, Dana Brandon and Dickie Brandon.
Educated in the Middletown City School System, she was never one short of hard work. She began working as a domestic, cleaning everything from single family homes, doctors’ offices and commercial buildings within the downtown Middletown area. After her job cleaning, she worked with one of her best friends, Gale Smith (deceased) as a teacher’s aid for over ten years. She later went on to work for the Square D Electrical Company building, inspecting and designing electrical equipment for more than twenty years before retiring. Alice loved attending church. She has been a dedicated member of the Tried Stone Missionary Baptist Church for over seventy years. At Tried Stone, she enjoyed singing in the choir. In her free time, she loved cleaning her own house and working in her yard. She also enjoyed talking to one of her best friends, Mrs. Viola Hunter, and going to the casino with her daughters. She was never short on spending time with her grandkids. She truly loved watching them grow up, always giving them life lessons. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, eight siblings and one daughter, Deborah Brandon. She will be lovingly missed by three children, Omi Brandon, Dana Hill and Dickie Brandon, her grandchildren, Lenita Brandon Viney (Curtis Sr.), Frederick Hill, Sr, Richard Hill, Sr, Brandon Hill, Phillip M. Brandon, Chynna B. Brandon, Malia G. Brandon and Hailey Z.
