Annette Mozetta Mitchell Rocquemore, the daughter of the late Frank and Georgia Mitchell, was born on January 4, 1955 in Cincinnati, Ohio. After a brief stay in the hospital, she was called to her heavenly eternal home on December 24, 2021 at 9:00 a.m.
Annette graduated from Hughes High School in Cincinnati, Ohio in1973. She attended First Antioch Baptist Church and was baptized under the leadership of the late Frances E. Lesley. Annett had an amazing singing voice and joined the Angelic Choir of First Antioch and sang with the Southern District Choir.
Annette worked various jobs in Cincinnati, Ohio including working with her cousin, Nancy Dempsey at Allis-Chalmers, Inc. as a machinist. Years later she relocated to Atlanta, Georgia where she found her passion of cooking. She loved to cook and cook she did, everything she touched was amazing. She provided catering services along with being employed at Big Daddy's Restaurant and Old Lady Gang Restaurant where she worked until the time of her death.
Annette loved family and friends, especially her grandchildren who lived in Cincinnati, Ohio. It was nothing for her to travel back and forth to Cincinnati to see her grand babies. She was a very caring and giving person with a heart of gold. She loved to take cruises and travel abroad.
Annette leaves to cherish her memories one son, Maurice Rocquemore; partner, Maya; one brother, Charles I. Mitchell (Jeannie); four grandchildren, D'Asia, Darien, Makaiye and Zariyah; three great-grandchildren, Mia, Amir and Alaya; nephew, Charles I. Mitchell, Jr.; niece, Nicole Mitchell and a host of other nieces and nephews. Longtime companion, Terrell Tookes; two devoted cousins, Nancy Dempsey (Larry) and Lea Pearson aka "Skinny"; best friend, Donna Bristol and a host of other close relatives and friends.
