Annie Louise Graves, also known as LOUISE was born April 28, 1928 in Birmingham, Alabama. The youngest of three daughters was born to Fred and Annie Butler. She departed this life on January 5, 2026. She is preceded in death by her father (Fred Butler), mother (Annie Finch Butler), husband (Charles Roscoe Graves), sister (Emma Sue Ambles), sister (Evelyn “Jim” Harris), nephew (Fred Lee Ambles), and niece (Patsy Ann Harris).
Louise attended Booker T. Washing School in Georgia, then attended Bloom Junior High School in Cincinnati, Ohio when the family moved to Cincinnati, Ohio in 1940 and attended Woodard High School.
Louise later met and married Charles Roscoe Graves, resided in Cincinnati, Ohio for a few years then moved to Detroit, Michigan for 6 years, then returned to Cincinnati, Ohio. Louise was a devoted wife, loving aunt and a dedicated worker. She was a very good cook. She worked at The Terrace Hilton Hotel and retired from Cincinnati Bell Telephone Company
Louise and husband Charles loved to travel, attend football and baseball games. They also attended The Cincinnati Jazz Music Festival annually. They also spent a lot of time on the river in their boat. She also loved to entertain family and guests. She loved music and loved dancing. She also loved movies, bingo and playing cards.
Louise was friendly to all and had a funny sense of humor. She had a host of friends, but her closest friends were Gertrude, Candy, Mary Lou, Liz and her very best friend Eleanora
Louise leaves to mourn her death and celebrate her life are nieces: Jo Ann Ambles, Jeanette Ambles and nephew Eddie Lee “Butch” Ambles, ( Lillie Ruth) all from Atlanta, Georgia. Nieces Damita Jo Harris, and Tiffany Ann Brown, (David) of Cincinnati, Ohio, a host of Great-nieces, nephews and cousins.
