Annie Ruth Reynolds was born in Sprague, Alabama on September 16, 1934. She was one of two children born to the late Anderson Foster (Dad) and (Mother) Elise Mae (Taylor) Huffman. Annie departed this life on Thursday, December 26, 2019.
She was preceded in death by her (Husband) Elton B. Reynolds, (Stepdad) Gus Huffman, (Sister) Rita Mae Johnson, (Brother-in-law) Jasper Johnson and (Niece) Antoinette Parks.
After Annie graduated from Our Lady of Merry High School here in Cincinnati, Ohio, she later married Elton B. Reynolds, Sr. From that union was their son, Elton B. Reynolds, Jr. and daughter, Leslie Ann Reynolds.
Annie worked for the Internal Revenue Service for about 40 years, from where she retired. She later went back to work for the Public Library downtown Cincinnati and Children’s Hospital in Avondale..
Annie enjoyed going to the Senior Citizen Center playing checkers, chair volleyball and swimming at the YMCA in Cheviot. She was also very active in her community and her church, St. Leo’s. Annie and others were involved in the neighborhood planning inspiration vision in the future where she lived.
Annie leaves to cherish her memory: her first cousin, John Henery; brother-in-law, Charles (Thelma) and their two children; friend for many years, Laura O’Neal; great nieces and nephews, Angie (Theodore), Alexander and Ann; and a host of family and friends.
