Anthony (Tony) Denson was born August 11, 1961 to the union of Andrew Denson, Sr. and Kathy (Suggs) Denson.
Anthony grew up in the Kennedy Heights community attending Schroder Jr. High School and graduating from Woodward High School.
At a young age, Tony joined the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. T.L. Barron. He was very active in a variety of youth activities, attending Sunday School (with his uncle, Harold) B.T.V., the Junior Choir and many other activities in church.
Tony became an avid lover of sports, especially baseball and football. He played baseball with Ken Sil, under the leadership of Mr. Williams, his coach.
Tony also loved and played football with the Tomahawks. Due to a very successful season, they were awarded with the opportunity to play at Riverfront Stadium. His two younger brothers were very proud of him.
Being a sport enthusiast, he loved and always supported the Reds and his favorite team, Cincinnati Bengals. He never missed a game on the radio or TV. All his gifts were hats, shirts, comforters, scarfs and Bengal posters for his room.
Tony was an excellent chef, but never shared his secret ingredients. His last job before his strokes was at the Montgomery Inn. Even there, his warm friendly smiles was contagious.
Tony was a very bright young man and graced us with his warmth, big laugh and smile.
Tony had two mild strokes, but the third massive stroke 17 years ago, left him paralyzed. A week before his passing, he had a massive stroke which caused his death.
Tony was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Denson and his brother, Drew Denson.
Tony leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Kathy L. Spivey; his two daughters, Rachelle (Mario) Greene and Ryan Brown; one son, Anthony (Tony); his grandson, Miles; and his siblings, Cynthia (Frederick) Borden, Jackie Bell, Jeffrey Denson and Timothy Spiver.
