Austyn Neal Parks Obituary

Our beloved son, brother and father, Austyn Neal Parks, AKA Aus, was born on November 30, 1995, in Cincinnati, Ohio to Kenneth Neal Parks and Tracy (Lane) Parks.

Austyn lived his early years in Pleasant Run Farms quickly making friends with all the neighborhood kids. Austyn’s sports of choice were baseball and soccer, though he’d often joke that it was because his mom wouldn’t let him play football.

After moving to West Chester, Austyn thrived at making even more friends in Lakota Schools. He and his sister, Aurelia would spend countless hours playing “Capture the Flag” with neighbors, Kelsey Lee, his absolute best friend, and Michael, and his cousin, Bruce Henry.

Austyn graduated from Lakota West in 2014 and briefly attended UC Clermont. He went on to work at Costco for 5 years, where friends and family who stopped in would often talk about how kind and gracious he was when they’d run into him while shopping. Austyn never met a stranger and would amaze family and friends with his ability to “read the room” and bring energy and laughter.

Austyn, AKA “Big Funny Austyn” on social media platforms, certainly lived up to his name. If he wasn’t playing his PlayStation 5, he was listening/sharing music online. Austyn listened to all genres of music, but no one touched him musically like his favorite…Drake. He’d put his headset on and be lost for hours listening to Drake and others. He’d float throughout the house air playing on piano. His TikTok and Snapchat would entertain friends daily. He’d always find a way to make you laugh. Every day, in every way, he embodied “Big Funny Austyn”.

Austyn performed several stand-up comedy shows at Go Bananas. He pulled his life into his comedy, whether making jokes about his mom/dad, his sister, or his children’s moms, no one was safe from his comedy. Austyn loved to make people laugh or just feel a little better. He made no excuses for who he was or his energy level. Austyn “with a y” was always going to be Aus. His hype was always shown most by his fingertips tapping together as he expressed his excitement. His smile and eyebrows would light up a room.

Austyn’s greatest joy was on August 18, 2020, when his daughter Aliyana Lucy Delgado-Parks was born. He would tell everyone about the love he had for his daughter. She was his world. He would often talk about all the dreams he had in making sure she never wanted for anything. Even when his finances didn’t allow him to do it, he’d call Mom and Dad. He would correct her when she’d call him Austyn because that’s what everyone else called him. Hide and seek, Roblox, or just playing PlayStation. The bond of father and daughter was ever present.

Three years later (2023), the addition of his twin boys added to his joy. Sage and Sylas completed his already full heart. He enjoyed watching them grow. His bond with his boys may not have been as long, but was strong. He loved having all three together, though he’d often be the first one exhausted.

Austyn with a “y” will forever be loved and missed. Memories will sustain us on this side of heaven, until we’re united again on the great day.

Austyn was preceded in death by his son lost through miscarriage, Jaxon Neal; maternal grandparents, Shirley and Charles Lane; his paternal grandparents, John A. and Beatrice Parks; his aunts, Teryl Fields and Diane Pendergrast; uncle, Charles Lane, Jr.; and his beloved cousins, Bryan and Bruce Henry.

He is survived by: his children, Aliyana Lucy, Sage Carson and Sylas Syncere; his sister, Aurelia Autumn; parents, Kenneth and Tracy Parks; uncles, John, David, Brian and Rodney Parks, Gary Pendergrast and Dwayne Harris; aunts, Linda Weaver, Karen Parks-McClinon, Deidra Burns and Keisha Lane; his children’s moms, whom he loved dearly, Daniela Delgado Olivares and Tiffany Mobley; and a host of cousins and friends.
