Bettina Kemp was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on July 27, 1956, daughter of Minne Thomas. She was first born of eight brothers and sisters. She departed this life on January 17, 2025.
She was proceeded in death by her mother and stepfather, Minnie Thomas and Eddie Lee Thomas: as well as many aunts and uncles.
Bettina grew up in Avondale and attended grade school at Annunciation and Rockdale Elementary Schools and graduated from Aiken High School, Class of 1976.
Bettina was a dedicated employee for 30 years at the University of Cincinnati, as a Public Safety Officer. She was also employed at Kroger’s in Wyoming for five years, until retirement.
Bettina leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter Dawnesha Nicole (Nikki) Kemp; her son, Gregory Lee Kemp, Sr. (Tommi Person); brothers, Edward (Marie) Thomas, Ricky (Nei) Thomas and Brian (Lori) Pharris; sisters Catherine (Fred) Byers, Margarette Thomas, Diana (Dwayne) Richardson and Joana (Derick) Savage; grandchildren, Aniyah, Gregory Jr., Mylah, Davi, Tamar, Teija, and Demarko Lee (Kayla) Grievous; her extended daughter, Bridgette Hicks; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
