Bryan G. Thomas

Bryan Gregory Thomas “Yogi”, was born December 4, 1970 in Middletown, Ohio to Mary Louise Wagner and Dwane Gregory Smith. He was raised in Middletown, Ohio where he resided for his 50 years of life. After a hard-fought battle with heart failure, Bryan departed this earthly life on Monday, June 28, 2021 at Christ Hospital.

Bryan graduated from Middletown High School and later attended Cincinnati State Technical & Community College. He held multiple factory positions until his health declined and he became permanently disabled. Bryan was a member of New Era Baptist Church, where he was baptized and served on the usher board.

Bryan took pride in his nieces and nephews, and loved to celebrate their academic and athletic achievements. His joy was his Schnauzer canine, King Markus Vladimir The Great. Bryan would always light up a room with his jovial spirit and infectious laugh. His hobbies included bowling, gossiping, and watching reality shows. He had the gift of gab and a sense of high fashion.

Bryan is preceded in death by his father, Dwane Gregory Smith; maternal grandparents, Nathan and Hazel Thomas; paternal grandparents, Curtis and Vanoise Louise Smith.

Bryan leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Mary Louise Wagner; step-father, Hubbard Wagner; sister, Shawnta Wagner; sister, Tasha Vann(Booker); aunt, Cheryl Yvonne Calhoun; aunt Benita Ann Smith; special grandmother, Georgia Hunter “Mama Georgia”; his beloved niece and nephews, Kelon Rakestraw, Jordan Vann, Brooklyn Vann, Cameron Jenkins; and an abundance of lifelong friends.
