Carol D. Robinson O’Hara of Liberty Twp., OH was born on August 28, 1955, the youngest of three children from the union between Eugene Blakley Robinson, Sr. and Ruth Louise Holt Robinson in Lincoln Heights, OH. Carol was called home to glory on November 8, 2022.
Carol attended Bethany Catholic School and Woodward High School. Upon graduation, she attended Clark Atlanta University, GA for Music, before transferring to the University of Cincinnati. Carol retired in 2005 with a career in Social Services; as a Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Counselor specializing in treatment for Minority Women and a Behavioral Specialist, Counselor for troubled teens in area Group Homes and Half-Way Houses.
Carol had a passion for music and the voice of an angel; often singing as lead vocalist for several local jazz bands. She loved Gospel Music and Contemporary Jazz. “Pete” as her father lovingly called her was the life the party. “Herkaloid” (Herk), was the nickname she called her father, they were inseparable and truly best friends. Her father was a classically trained and professional pianist; often joining each other for musical sessions that would light up a room. Pete and Herk made a mark and are now eternally in each other’s arms; making a joyful noise.
Carol was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Blakely Robinson, mother, Ruth Louis Holt Robinson, sister, Linda Joyce Robinson-Neal and husband, James T. O’Hara.
Carol leaves to cherish her loving memory: son, Trevor A. Robinson (Anna Robinson), daughters, Ariana Francis Ingram “Gert” (John M. Ingram), Ebony Alaine O’Hara, grandchildren, Cheyanne Robinson, Andrew Robinson, Sierra Robinson, Silas Ingram, Jada Ingram, Messiah Blakely, Xavier Blakely and brother, Eugene Blakley Robinson, Jr., a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and close friends.
