Carrie Bell Ivory Obituary

Carrie Bell Ivory, at the age of 80 was granted her angel wings on July 31, 2022 at 3:03 p.m. Her final days were spent surrounded by family.

Carrie was born December 3, 1941 in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Fannie Bell and Eddie Samuel Price, Sr. She attended Hughes High School, where she graduated in 1960. Shortly after high school, she met and married James Ivory, Jr. on July 22, 1969. They shared this union for 53 years, until her passing.

Carrie found employment with The Realistic Cosmetic Company, assembling hair dryer and packaging cosmetics. I guess it’s safe to say her employment there sharpened her skills on how to make herself more beautiful than what she already was. She loved getting her hair done and buying jewelry. Overall, she just loved to shop.

Carrie Bell was a member of the prestigious “Red Hatters Group”. Being apart of this group didn’t mean, “just wear a red hat”. She loved this group because it connected her with other women that love to travel and share their ideas of how to improve the sisterhood of the Red Hatters. I am sure she will sport her best RED HAT in heaven.

She enjoyed doing the little quite things at home. She took pleasure in sending cards and gifts to her family and friends. She loved plants and tending to them daily. She and James loved going out together to sample the local restaurants in the area, but once they returned home, it was WESTERN MOVIE time. Her favorite show was “GUN SMOKE”.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Fannie Bell; father, Eddie S. Price, Sr.; and her brother, Victor Lewis Price.

Carrie Bell leaves to mourn and cherish her memories: her husband, James Ivory, Jr., along with her remaining sisters and brothers, Judy Ann, Teresa Gail, Eddie Samuel, Jr., Karl Vincent and Anthony Guardine; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
