Charles C. Love was born to the late Charles H. (Buddy) Love and Mrs. Lucy M. Love on November 12, 1947, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Charles was baptized in 1957 at Jerriel Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Albert Goodwin.
Charles received his education in the Cincinnati Public School District where he attended Lyons Jr. High and graduated from Quarter Tech in 1966.
In 1968, Charles served his country by joining the U.S. Army. He was known to be a dedicated hard worker in any position he held. Charles began working at University Hospital in 1974 and retired in 2006. He worked at Central Parking for 20 years as a supervisor at many stadiums in Cincinnati, from the Reds stadium to the Bengals stadium all while wearing his Steelers jersey. He used to hang out at the car wash with his friends until close every day.
Charles Love was a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers fan, a comedian, and always the life of every party. Charles was also very passionate about cooking. He loved his cowboy boots, hats, and leather jackets. He lived his life to the fullest. He loved his family and friends and was a great provider.
On September 29, 2020, God said, “Charles, son, it is time for you to come home where I have prepared a place for you.”
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Lucy and Charles Love and brother, Dwight (Kit) Love. He is survived by his brothers, Dennis Day, Sr. and Dale Love; his wife, Veronica Hannah; his three children, Charles Calvin Love, Jr. (Andrea Wilson), Pierre Hannah and Tiffani Squire; two grandchildren, Miesa Mapp and Alexis Anderson; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. He also leaves a multitude of other family members and friends whom he loved dearly.
Charles has been called home to be with his Heavenly Father, and although he may be gone, he will never be forgotten.
