Cornel Lynch was born on September 2, 1955 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was the first child born to Robert and Lois Lynch.
Cornel was educated in the Cincinnati Public School System and attended Historical Samuel Ach Jr. High and Woodward High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army National Guard. He was stationed in Houston, Texas where he resided for ten years. He moved to Atlanta, Georgia and was employed at St. Luke Joseph Emery Hospital where he worked for 30 years retiring in 2018. Due to health issues, he moved back to Cincinnati in 2021, residing with his brother, Rick.
Cornel was a man full of compassion, love and devotion. He had a gentle nature while befriending everyone he met. He loved the Lord and fully devoted his life to the ministry and helped many during his journey through life. He loved his family and basketball, his favorite team being Michigan State and a diehard Atlanta Falcons and Braves fan. He was only a Bengals fan when they won.
Cornel shared a birthday with three others: his great niece, Ta'Rya Brown (September 2, 2011), his great grandmother, Sally Arnold (September 2, 1878 - December 4, 1979) and his friend, Karl "Skip" Fields (September 2, 1955). He made a special trip to Cincinnati, Ohio to celebrate his birthday with Ta'Rya. He relished in the fact of sharing that day. He will truly be missed.
Cornel leaves to cherish his passing: siblings, Darlene, Yvette, Tracey, Alisha, Crystal, Rick, and Marus; niece, Tasha; nephews, Dante, Ian, Curtis, Reco, Chaze, and Tyler; along with his dear friends, Ginnet and Sharon of Atlanta, Georgia.
