Darin Miller, Jr. (D.J.) was born Tuesday, January 1, 1991 to Darin Miller, Sr. and Yolanda M. Miller, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He completed his earthly journey and was called home on Wednesday, October 16, 2024.
He gave his life to Christ at an early age and was baptized at Little Rock Christian Church in Covington, Kentucky. D.J. loved music and playing the drums. He became the church drummer at the age of seven, and sang in the choir. His favorite song was “Jesus Be A Fence”.
Darin Jr. attended Cincinnati Public Schools and graduated from Withrow High School, Class of 2009. While in high school, he continued playing the drums in the marching band. He was very athletic, playing foot-ball and became the captain of the wrestling team. After graduating from high school, he found a love for Rugby. Darin Jr. attended the University of Cincinnati on a Mathematical Engineering Scholarship.
Darin Jr. was a hard worker. He was accepted in the Trades Union Local 212, to become an Electrician. You could always count on Darin Jr. to be very early for work and stay as long as needed. According to Mr. Wiley from his last job, deSha’s, he had a “Million Dollar Smile”.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his parents, Darin and Yolanda Miller; sister, Ayanna Riley; brothers, Maverick Powell II (Kisha), Landon I. Miller and Caleb D. Miller; uncles, Eugene Woolfork, Sr. (Roberta) of Antioch, CA, Michael W. Woolfork, Sr. and James Neal (Monica) of Atlanta, GA; great-aunts, Eileen Waters and Shirley Alexander; great-uncle, Lee Riley; aunts, Tangela Howard, Jimmetta Pope (Jason), Karen Pontdexter (Fritz) and Cassandra Day (Jerry), both of Royal Oak, Michigan; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
