Darius (Dario) Cunningham was born to Thomas Cunningham and Cheryl (Foster) Cunningham on September 17, 1983 in Middletown Ohio. Darius gained his wings on June 25, 2025.
Darius was a devoted family man, a hardworking provider, and someone who gave of himself freely and without hesitation. He cherished time with his family, making sure they felt loved and supported in every way that he could. He gained his wings after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was diagnosed on February 25, 2025 and succumbed shortly after. He fought hard from the beginning to the end and was surrounded by love and care through it all. Darius dedicated his life to Christ a couple of months ago, and he found peace with God before his transition.
A true family man, Darius found his greatest joy in his loved ones. As a devoted father, a caring son, a beloved sibling and an affectionate uncle, he cherished every moment with his family. Whether it was spending quality time with his family and friends or showing up for them when they needed him, he made his family and friends feel deeply loved. One of the ways he expressed his love was by taking photos and videos of himself with his loved ones, always highlighting how important it was to make memories with those he cared about (If you know Dario you know what I mean). Darius has a lot of people who will continue to celebrate his life and cherish each and every moment they’ve shared together.
Generosity was a cornerstone of his spirit. Darius never hesitated to lend a hand, offering his time and energy. With his humble and caring nature, he touched countless lives—his small acts of kindness created a legacy of compassion that will be remembered by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Cunningham and sister, Deann Foster.
Left to cherish his memory: his mother, Cheryl Cunningham; son, Gavin Dillingham; brothers, Christopher Sanders, Rashawn Jarrett, Matthew Foster, Sisters Christina and Saundra Foster; nephews, Alantae Foster, Cranston Streeter II, Andreas and Ahman Crenshaw; nieces, D’Asia Woods, Samorah Foster and Caniyla Streeter along with many friends who will miss him dearly.
