David Neblett

David Neblett was born on July 5, 1956 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Nicholas and Felicia Cox Neblett.

 At the age of 64, the Lord Jesus Christ plucked a special flower out of His garden and took David home to be with Him on December 27, 2020 at University Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, after a brief illness.

David entered Dyer School, a division of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities (MRDD) at an early age and did very well in his training.

After leaving Dyer School, David went to Jackson Adult Center and worked for General Assembly for over 40 years.

David went to Camp Stepping Stones while with MRDD and also competed in Special Olympics and won various awards and medals.

After a short illness, David went to live at Carini House Group Home and worked at Beckman Center.

David confessed Christ in his own way at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in March 1972. Outstandingly, he had almost perfect attendance at his church home, until his illness.

One of our parents’ last requests was that we would take care of David, making the correct decisions when needed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas and Felicia Neblett and brother, Ronald Neblett.

David leaves to cherish his memory: sister, Gwendolyn Starkey; brothers, Norman (Annette), Dale (Tisha), Nicholas Jr. and Paul; sister-in-law, Donna Neblett; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, family and friends.
