David Wright Obituary

David Wright was born on July 21, 1965 in Middletown, Ohio to Lou David and Addie Wright. He was the youngest and only male child of his parents' five children. As a child, David was baptized at the United Missionary Baptist Church by the late Rev. L.C. Bennet. David attended Middletown City Schools where he ran track. He graduated from Middletown High School in the Class of 1983. As a part of the Buddy Program, David joined the U.S. Army immediately after graduating high school. He served in the United States Army from 1983-1996 and was initially stationed in Kaiserslautern, Germany. Sgt. David Wright was a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division based at Fort Bragg North Carolina. He served in the Persian Gulf War in Operation Desert Shield/ Storm in the Global War on Terrorism. He also served as a Non-Commissioned Officer Trainer, Inspector/Tester, Airdrop Supervisor and Airdrop Specialist. After leaving the military, David used his military experience in the manufacturing industry.

David loved listening to music and often played his favorite tunes in the house, in his car and while sitting in the parks. He also enjoyed watching sports and documentaries, researching fancy cars and car accessories, looking at weaponry (especially guns and knives), and his pet dogs.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lou David Wright. He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving mother, Addie Wright; precious daughter, Dasia Addie Wright; sons, Jermaine David and Anthony Jerome Wright; beloved sisters, Brenda Croley, Debora Myree, Liz Wright-Pluta and Gail Wright; his grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends.

He will be truly missed by his mother, daughter and sisters; but they are comforted knowing that he is now in GOD’s hands.
