David A. Choate, Sr.

David Anthony Choate, Sr. was born November 27, 1960 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was called home to be with the Lord late Saturday Evening, April 15, 2021. With his mom and his son nearby, his sister Sharon and his nephew Delvin held his hand as he crossed over.

David was a strong, highly active man who was beloved by many. A skilled craftsman, David proudly operated his own remodeling business where he enjoyed doing everything from painting walls to framing entire houses. Perhaps his favorite thing to do was roofing. Neither a fall (or 2 or 3) from a ladder or a run in with a nail gun to the eye - could keep him from his work. He accepted Christ at a young age - and in the face of whatever faults he had during his life, he maintained his own personal relationship with God.

David was preceded in death by his father James Choate, his brother Robert as well as generations of other family members who loved him, ready to welcome him home. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted mother Verbena Choate, his sister Sharon Jones (Kenneth), 2 sons Donald Graham and David Choate Jr., nieces and nephews including Delvin Brown, Arnita "Lynn-Lynn" Davis (Steve) Dionne "Big Baby" Reid and Donita Brooks among a host of many others. He was a brother to Lorelie, Genie, Rosie, Edna, Frank and James as well Barbara (George), Yvette Dwight and George.
