Denese was born on February 1, 1958, a “Preemie” at General Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Dolores (Fuzzy) Grant and Chester Fambro. She arrived at her new destination on April 4, 2024. She grew up in the Walnut Hills area of Cincinnati and was educated in the Public School System. She was employed with PMC until her retirement, later worked part-time at McDonald’s until her health failed her. On occasion Denise would attend Cincinnati Urban Ministry Outreach, Pastor LaMarque’ Ward Sr.
Denese loved to work on her jigsaw puzzles, a hobby she inherited from her mother. The larger the number, the smaller the pieces would entertain her for hours. She loved her old school music. Bingos and casinos are where you find Denise most of the time. Her favorite response to all that knew and loved her was “S E E E E E E.”
Denese was preceded in death by her mother Dolores (Fuzzy) Grant and her father Chester Fambro, Grandmother Thelma (Tee) Thompson; her sister, Lori Turnage, and brother Maurice Turnage; two special friends “Big Don” and Leonard Pagette.
Denese leaves not to mourn, but to cherish her memory: Her two sons Troy D. Thompson and Sean L. Thompson, her step-mom, Dorothy Fambro, five sisters, Cathy (Harrell) Davis, Angela Thompson; Marcella Turnage, Trudy, and Melanie Fambro, two brothers, Eric Thompson & Clarence Turnage III (Elaine); her life-time kindred sisters: Dornessa Ward- Ship (James) and Melanie Pugh (Johnnie); 11 grandchildren: Te’sean, Seantez, Ja’well, Makayla, Lasean, Mekhi, Ma’kya, Lord Azariah, De’shayla, Olina, K’lynn; 6 greatgrandchildren; Jia’vani; Te’sean Jr., Denim, Mekhi Jr., Amyrah, Gionni; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
