Derry Blane Riggins

Derry Blane Riggins was born on September 9, 1953, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Joe Black and Trummie Simms.

A 1972 graduate of Withrow High School, Derry was a man of simple pleasures, cherished for his passion for baseball, music, and his undeniable charm. His family fondly remembers him as the life of the party, always ready with a laugh. He found joy in cheering on his Reds and Bengals, listening to his favorite tunes, and caring for his plants.

Derry was a beloved Son, Father, Brother, Uncle, Great-Uncle, and Cousin. He was preceded in death by his father, his grandmother Ollie Riggins, and his relatives Aunt Faye Flake, Uncle Charlie, and Uncle James.

He is survived by his mother, Trummie Simms; his sister, Deborah Grant; his children Eric Brown and Angle, Rachone Riggins, Trinia Coleman and Chris, Stephanie Smith and Kheri, and Derrick Riggins; as well as his 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Derry will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed.
