Dorien K. Daniels Obituary

Dorien Keith Daniels was born on March 14,1984 and departed this earth on November 6, 2020. Dorien attended and graduated from Withrow High School. Dorien had a smile that brightened any room and lightened any mood; he was so full of life! Dorien was an intelligent, caring, handsome, and charismatic young man who prided himself on always being “crispy”; his clothes always had to be on point.
Dorien was the second eldest child of both his mother’s and father’s children. Dorien loved the Lord, his daughter, KaShya, and cars! As a teenager, Dorien began working for a “Save the Youth” organization, selling candy, then officially for Kroger at the age of 16; he has since held other jobs at UDF, Papa Johns, Kentucky Fried Chicken, and as a construction laborer. Even at a young age, Dorien would try to send money via the mail to various television evangelists and to “Save the Children” campaigns. He could not understand why he wasn’t allowed to send “money” through the mail. He and his daughter would watch the morning church programs and they would oftentimes be praying and praising the Lord as they watched. And, it was widely known that one should never leave car keys around Dorien.
Dorien became a teenaged dad and co-created the love of his life, his daughter, KaShya. Later in life, Dorien also had a set of twin boys, whom the family has yet, but would love to meet.
Dorien joined the Ohio National Guard in November of 2001. but soon after was diagnosed with Bi-polar Schizophrenia, an illness that progressively got worse; and one that he had a hard time coming to grips with. As a result, his illness made life difficult for him.
Dorien was briefly married from 2007 to 2008; no children were born from that union.
Dorien leaves to cherish, his children; KaShya Daniels, the twins; his granddaughter, Ivory Daniels; mother Annette Clark (Hosea Jr.) and father Craig Brooks; brothers, DuJuan, Dominique, Dameco, Delano, Nyyear, and Makell; and sisters Saya, and Na’deera; Bonus siblings, Hosea III (Cara), Chymica Gordon (Michael), and Carlos; maternal grandparents David and Betty Daniels, and paternal grandparents Mary Brooks Bell (Sherman) and Reverend Doc Foster; Aunts Denise Martin, Lavetta Brooks, and LeaChelle Brooks; Uncles David Daniels Jr. (Robin), Darryl Daniels and Rodney Brooks, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
