Embry Bates Thompson Jr.

Embry B. Thompson, Jr., was born on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 1968, in Cincinnati, Ohio to Embry B. Thompson, Sr. and Patricia Elizabeth Thompson. He was adored by all, being the first-born grandchild of Mr. James Allen, Sr. and Mrs. Ella D. Allen.

 Embry grew up in Cincinnati’s Seven Hills neighborhood and graduated from Mt. Healthy High School in 1987. Immediately after high school, he entered and served in the United States Navy.

In 1992 he married his high school sweetheart, and they had three beautiful children: Shamikque, Rashad, and Brevin Thompson.

Embry enjoyed a career as a chef and also worked as an electrical professional.

Predeceased by his parents and grandparents, Embry is survived by his three children, sister, Erinn Cole, two half-sisters, grandchildren, his cousin Sheilia Smith (who grew up like a sister to Embry), many cousins, family, and friends.  He will be especially missed by his Aunt, Priscilla Smith (Alabama) and Uncle, Dr. James Allen, Jr.

Embry lovingly known as ‘E’ to his close family and friends will be remembered and loved by all for his funny antics, sweet nature, great smile, and laugh.
