Florine Saddler

Florine Saddler was born July 26, 1952 to the parents of Willie D and Florence I. Hicks in Cincinnati, Ohio.  She was the fourth child of ten children.

Florence confessed Christ at the age of 9 and baptized by Rev. Sullivan at New Mission Missionary Baptiest Church in Dunbar, a subdivision of Madisonville. During her high school years she ran track. She graduated from Withrow High School in 1971. She then married her late husband Sherman Willie Saddler: to this union was born her most precious creations Evon Renee Saddler and Sherman Willie Saddler. She loved her GIRL as she affectionately called Evon ”Von” and her BOY Sherman “Pieface"

After graduating Florine worked and retired from various jobs.  Such as Kenners, Emerson (Fusite), Dupree Nursing Home, and Walmart. She greeted people with a smile and was a dependable worker. 

Some of her greatest enjoyments were playing cards such as Uno with her grandchildren and spades with her family and friends for quarters. She also enjoys shopping. especially on black Friday. She liked her chicken wings all flats and her favorite restaurant was Outback. She would enjoy Sunday services on Youtube with her daughter sometimes as her health declined. As her health declined, she was still a tough and strong fighter.

Florine was affectionately referred to by her siblings as Sister or '"Fawa" and “Flo Flo" by her daughter.

In her spare time. she would call her family and friends to check on them.   She enjoyed, watching Madea Movies. Her favorite station was 100.3 and she loved Luther Vandross. She also enjoyed family gatherings at her siblings’ house and her son's house during holidays eating his BBQ ribs and baked beans.

She was a very outspoken person (#(@!!) but it was all in love.  Florine was a very caring person and would not hesitate to give to anyone in need. She had such a sweet and sour personality that left a memorable impression on all those who knew her. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Elmira.  

She leaves to cherish her precious memories and beautiful smile of her daughter Evon and son Sherman (RoShawna).  Eight siblings Richard, Deborah (Michael), Christopher (Gloria), Virginia, Luevenia, Constance, Karl, and Paul.  Seven grandchildren Javonna, Khadijah, Keiza, Mikalyla, Samari, Shyra, and Simeon.  Three great-grandchildren Bryant, Jayvion and Kyrie.  And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and relatives and friends she enjoyed being around.
