Franklin Benjamin Harrison, Jr., lovingly known by his family and friends as “Paw Paw”, was born on June 18, 1937, in Opelika, Alabama. He was preceded in death by both his parents, Louisa Ogletree (mother) and Benjamin Harrison (father), John Willie (brother), Candie Wells (sister), Wiley Harrison (brother), Jimmie Lee Harrison (brother), Tari Harrison (daughter), Antoinette Harrison (granddaughter) and Virgil Bolden (grandson). He is survived by his sisters, Ruth Coleman and Bernice H. Johnson; and daughter, Sandra Harrison.
Franklin was a hard-working man and worked for the City of Cincinnati in Sanitation for many years before retiring from his career. He was a provider for his family and knew no strangers. Franklin was very outspoken and would say it like it is, if you needed to hear it. He had a heart of gold and an aura that would light up a room. He loved to spend his days with his family cooking good southern meals and playing cards. He also enjoyed going to the casino with his daughter, Sandra. He was a spiritual man that taught his family to trust in the Lord with all our hearts. His loving spirit will be cherished and missed forever.
Franklin leaves to cherish his memories: his daughter, Sandra Harrison; great-grandchildren, Kevin Wharton, Tangela Reed, Ariel Bolden, Kendric Wharton, Derrian Springs, Rodney Reed, Dezerae Pollard and Celestino Pollard; and a host of great-great-grandchildren who he cherished and lived for.
