Georgia Hunter Obituary

Georgia Clarice Bradley-Hunter affectionately known as Mommy, Mama Georgia, Aunt Georgia and Sexy; was born on November 30, 1925, to Jeffie and Nettie Bradley in Bethlehem, Georgia; she was the third born of nine children. She departed this life peacefully with Stephanie and Larry by her side at Hospice of Butler/Warren on March 28, 2026, after a brief stay. 

Mommy was married to Dupree Hunter and had 2 daughters. At a young age, she cleaned homes of others and later was gainfully employed by Aeronca and Interstate Packaging until her retirement.

Mommy was a faithful member of Faith United, Middletown under the leadership of Michael Bailey, Sr. Pastor until her health declined.

Mommy had a special love for Bingo, a pastime that brought her laughter, excitement, and connection with others. Whether she was playing to win or simply enjoying the moment, bingo was one of her favorite ways to spend her time and when she was not at Bingo, she relaxed in her chair working on her crossword puzzles.

 

Mommy lived a long, beautiful life filled with love, strength, and unforgettable memories. Reaching the incredible age of 100, she was a true example of resilience, wisdom, and grace. In celebration of her 100th birthday, she received a special proclamation from Mayor Elizabeth Slamka of Middletown, an honor she truly cherished

Mommy was a devoted sister, mother, grandmother, great and great, great grandmother, aunt, and friend to many and her love was unmeasurable to all. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Beatrice Thompson, Susie Kinney, Eunice McKinzey, John Willie Bradley, Essie Kate Bradley, and TH Bradley, beloved James “Jay” Brown II and nephew, John Derrico

Mommy leaves to cherish her loving memory; Sister, Geneva Derrico and Brother Jack Bradley; Stephanie (Larry) Nelms, Dionne (Robert) Hill, Wennifer Beard, Lynnell Morrison, Vinson and Ralo White, LaWana Roberta Bibbs, Betty Beard – and their children:

Jamia (Will) Lockett, Stephan Brown, James (Tina) Nelms, Larry (Kristina) Nelms, Wendee Sweeney, Terrance, Brandon, Antonio, Lil Ralo, Javon, Katen & Karson, Sonny, Terrance Ashley, Ashanti, Ashton, Aleigha, Nikela and Mercedes… and their children: Myke-a Littles, JaDante, Jalisa, Jaycob, Milyun, Chanel, Xavien, James, Dartanian,Kendrick, Jade, Josiah, and Jeremiah

Mommy had special love for: her caregiver, Amanda Banks; Walter “Walt” (Roberta) Derrico, Dora Bronston, Patty Caldwell, Jacqueline “Jackie” (Qist) Kabah, Jonnie Ruth (Pepper) Jackson Kristi Roberts, Bobby (Toni) Kinney, Angelo Bradley-Umoh, Loretta Bradley, Louise Wagner, Tasha (Booker) Vann, Shawnta (William) Ford,Hazel Mack, and Gladys Hall

Special friends: Paula Hogan, Ollie Young and Teresa Amos; Mommy’s Bingo family: Randy Turner, Charlotte Lyons, Angel Henry, Rick Stickel, Mary and Denny Gross, Tiffany Horn, Pam, Brandi, and Emili and all others at Roosevelt Bingo.
