Germain Savi

Germain Yaovi Savi est né le 9 Septembre 1976 au Togo de François Dosseh Savi et Akuavi Adekpoe. Il a passé la majeure partie de sa vie au Togo avant de s’installer aux États-Unis en 2008.

Germain est diplômé de l’Université de Lomé, où il a étudié l’allemand et l’anglais. Il a travaillé comme professeur d’allemand et d’anglais et est devenu plus tard interprète allemand et anglais à la Cour d’appel de Lomé au Togo. Après avoir déménagé aux États-Unis, Germain a travaillé pour plusieurs entreprises pour subvenir non seulement à ses besoins mais aussi à ceux de sa famille bien-aimée au Togo.

Germain était connu pour sa gentillesse et sa nature aimante. Il aimait passer du temps avec ses amis et sa famille, et sa plus grande passion était les voyages. Au fil des ans, il a voyagé à plusieurs reprises en Allemagne, au Canada et au Togo, envisageant souvent de s’installer définitivement en Allemagne. C’est lors d’un de ses voyages en Allemagne en 2018 qu’il a rencontré Mary K., qui a mis au monde son fils unique Emmanuel, une véritable bénédiction dans sa vie.

Tragiquement, le 3 mars 2024, Germain a été diagnostiqué de cancer du cerveau. Il a affronté cette maladie avec une force incroyable pendant près d’un an. Au début de janvier, il a été admis aux soins palliatifs, où il est décédé paisiblement le 25 février.

Germain laisse derrière lui son fils bien-aimé Emmanuel et ses frères et soeurs: Christine, Charlotte et Eli. Son absence crée un vide qui sera profond-ément ressenti par tous ceux qui ont eu la chance de le connaître. On se souviendra de lui non seulement pour sa gentillesse et sa détermination, mais aussi pour l’amour qu’il partageait si généreusement avec tous ceux qui l’entouraient. La vie de compassion et de dévouement de Germain se perpétue dans le coeur de nombreuses personnes.

Germain Yaovi Savi was born on September 9, 1976, in Togo to Francois Dosseh Savi and Akuavi Adekpoe. He spent most of his life in Togo before moving to the United States in 2008.

Germain graduated from the University of Lomé, where he studied German and English. He worked as a German and English teacher and later became a German and English interpreter at the Appeal Court of Lomé in Togo. After relocating to the United States, Germain worked for several companies to support not only himself, but also his beloved family back in Togo.

Germain was known for his kindness and loving nature. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family and his greatest passion was traveling. Over the years, he traveled multiple times to Germany, Canada and back to Togo, often contemplating relocating to Germany permanently. It was during one of his trips to Germany in 2018 that he met Mary K., who brought his son Emmanuel into the world, a true blessing in his life.

Tragically, on March 3, 2024, Germain was diagnosed with brain cancer. He faced this disease with incredible strength for nearly a year. In early January, he was admitted to hospice care, where he passed away peacefully on February 25th.

Germain leaves behind: his cherished son, Emmanuel; and his loving siblings, Christine, Charlotte and Eli. His absence creates a void that will be felt deeply by all, who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be remembered not just for his kindness and determination, but for the love that he shared so generously with everyone around him. Germain's legacy of compassion and dedication lives on in the hearts of many.
