Gregory Ward, Sr.

Gregory Ward, son of Willanna Ward and Albert Eastman (stepfather) was born on September 20, 1950 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He suddenly passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022.

Greg was oldest of three children: his sister, Diane Wright and little brother, Clifford Allen Boyd (who preceded him in death). He grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio. Greg was baptized as a child at the Church of God and Saints of Christ Church in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Greg graduated from Withrow High School in 1970. After graduation, Greg married his high school sweetheart, Willa Cannon (Ward) and began his service in the United States Marine Corp. In 1974, they had their first child, Gregory Ward, Jr. and so began their family, adding their only daughter, Necole Lee Ward and then baby boy, Steven Gregory Ward. After his military service, he went back to school to become a licensed Cincinnati Electrician for over 25 years. Greg would do wiring for private homes and various businesses. Greg would often brag about doing wiring for the Shobiz Pizza Place automated band. Greg loved music and would spend hours recording music videos and live concerts.

Greg is survived by: his wife, Willa Ward; his three children, 19 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, eight nieces, two nephews, three great nephews and one great niece; sister, Diane Wright; brother-in-law, Robert Wright; and a host of friends and co-workers who will miss him dearly.
