Gwendolyn L. Taylor Obituary

Gwendolyn Lanora Taylor was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on January 29, 1962 to her parents, Willie James Taylor and Magnolia Taylor. She was the eighth of 10 children, including five brothers and four sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Magnolia Taylor; brothers, Willie James and Willie Mack; one sister, Janet; niece, Sheila Jones; and great-niece, London Bates.

Gwendolyn graduated from Withrow High School in 1981. Some of her favorite activities were swimming, skating and cheerleading. Some of her jobs included White Castle, Owens Brockway and the Cincinnati Enquirer. Gwendolyn was a very hard worker; someone you could always depend on.

Gwendolyn gave her life to Christ at a very young age and was a devoted member of Greater Fellowship Baptist Church for over 49 years whenever the church doors opened. She loved to sing in the choir. She helped in the kitchen and wherever she was needed. Whenever she wasn’t praising the Lord, she was with her family. Gwen absolutely adored her two children, Gregory and Alexis. Gwen had an extra special place in her heart for her grandsons Gionni, Genesis and Gessiah, and would often scream that’s my grandbaby “Gionni”. Gwen will never be forgotten and her love for family and friends will never be forgotten.

Gwen leaves to cherish her memory: her two children, Gregory Taylor (Meeko) and Alexis Taylor (Orlando); three sisters, Sheila Hill, Lillie Smith (Ed herfavorite brother-in-law) and Stephanie Harris (Mark); three brothers, Felix Taylor, Rodrick Taylor, Nathaniel Taylor (Diane her favorite sister-in-law); her grandchildren, Gionni, Genesis and Gessiah; 24 nieces and nephews, 31 great nieces and nephews; her three best friends, Evonne Gamble, Helen Cooper and Vicky Cooper; her good friend, Edwina Smith; and a host of other relatives and friends.
