Harold "HL" Greene

Harold Leonard Greene, affectionately known as H.L., passed away on Wednesday morning, March 17, 2026, after a brief hospitalization. He was born on September 7, 1955, in Maysville, Kentucky, to Lena Y. (Greene) Martin.

H.L. attended high school in Detroit, Michigan, and later relocated to Denver, Colorado. He eventually returned to Cincinnati, where he spent many dedicated years working for the Kroger Company until his retirement. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, and his quick wit will be forever remembered.

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Lena “Puddin” Martin of Cincinnati; his brother, Victor Greene of Denver, Colorado; his nephews, Antoine Matthews of Detroit, Michigan, and Tyson and Jordan Richardson of Denver, Colorado; his aunt, Tracy Turney-Smith (Darrell) of Cincinnati; along with a host of beloved cousins and friends.
