Ina Mae Mathis, age 80, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2025. Born on January 3, 1945, in Franklin, Ohio, Ina lived a life marked by generosity, strength, and unwavering love that touched countless hearts.
Ina dedicated much of her professional life to serving others through her work as a pharmacy technician. She began her career at Kmart Pharmacy, where she worked until its closure in 2011, and later continued at Target Pharmacy, where she completed her career. Known for her kindness and work ethic, she left a lasting impression on her colleagues and customers alike.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Ina found great joy in her family. She married the love of her life, Eddie Mathis, on September 27, 1969, and together they raised four children: Cassaundra Boyd (Carlos), Christopher Mathis (Molly), Courtney Robinson, and Camille Mathis
Ina’s legacy lives on through her six grandchildren—Jaclyn (Damon), Allison (Bryan), Carlos Jr., Cailyn, Carleigh, and Caleb—and her three great-grandchildren: Damon Jr., Denver, and Bryli. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Ina’s home was a haven of warmth and welcome, not only for her children but also for their friends, many of whom came to see her as a second mother.
Ina’s heart knew no bounds. Her love was constant and unconditional, and she was endlessly selfless and always putting others before herself and finding joy in giving. Her deep faith in Christ guided her life. Ina was a faithful and dedicated member at the First Pentecostal Church of Blue Ash, under the pastorate of the late Bishop Eddie Lee Forster for many years and later joined Greater Emanuel Apostolic Temple under the pastorate of the late Bishop Paul A. Bowers and continued her dedication under the pastorate of Bishop LaVelton J. Daniel.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Eddie; her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; and her siblings John Robinson, Alvin Robinson, and Patricia McCollum. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Rosa Robinson; her siblings Carol Robinson, Alice Mitchell, Rose Ann Mitchell, and Henry Robinson; and her grandchildren Morgan, Parker, and Mara.
