James E. Foster was born on November 17, 1946 to Walter and Mary E. Foster in Barnesville, Georgia. He was called from labor to reward on January 5, 2021 at the age of 73.
Although he was raised in Middletown, Ohio, he worked at Magnode in Georgia in the early 70s for years. After years of hard work and service, he returned to the Middletown community where he met his first and only wife, Rita Martin. James wed Rita on January 26, 1990 and embraced fatherhood rearing her child as his own. After a few years together, they had two additional children together.
James loved to travel and he loved cars. He was a great mechanic. He could tell you everything you needed to know about your car. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandfather and uncle; he was very passionate about his love of family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Walter Foster, Jr., Arthur Lee Foster, Robert Lewis Foster, James W. Foster, and one granddaughter, Sundreya Hooks. He leaves to cherish his memory: his four daughters, Angela Felders, Janaal Wright (Courtney), Jasmin Murphy (Kenneth) and Jerrica Foster; five brothers, Columbus E. Foster (Sheila), Carl A. Foster (Debra), Kenneth D. Young (Gwenn), Rodney Foster (Brenda) and Dwayne Foster; two sisters, Mary R. Harris and Francenia Griffey (Steven); two aunts, Estella Barrett and Annette Alford; one uncle, Herbert Mays; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
